Edit
Michelle has just left the hospital. His pressure is up and there is nothing left to do. Steven will soon be in a better place...please pray that Steven is comfortable at this time. Please also pray for Michelle as she begins this journey. She told me tonight "My heart is broken but peaceful at the same time". Please, please pray for Steven throughout the night...also, please pray for Michelle to have strength and continue to lean on God during this time. I know we all are in constant prayer...Thank you again for all the support you have given them. She cannot thank you enough. I will keep you posted.

I went to high school with Steven and considered him a friend. I hadn't talked to him in many years, but recently we reconnected via facebook. This is how I learned of Steven's sudden illness and landed on your blog.
I remember Steven in high school as a nice, funny, happy guy and from looking at his photos it appears he hadn't changed much over the years. Since learning of his illness, I have thought of you all daily. My heart is breaking for you, Michelle, and for all of Steven's family and friends. There are no words of comfort right now, this I know is true, but I wanted you to know that there are people out there who Steven made an impact on many years ago, people you don't even know, who are thinking of you and praying for you.

Michele, I cannot even begin to imagine your sorrow right now. The thought of loosing my husband is unfathonable to me. I am so sorry you are having to endure this pain. I just thank our dear God and Saviour that Steven was born again into His kingdom, and when he leaves this world, he will go to Paradise and will be comforted and at peace. We love you Michelle, and your dear boys, and will keep you in our constant prayers. Denia and Jimmy

Steven & Michelle,
We love you both so much. For years our families have been intertwined and filled with nothing but good memories. I know you have plenty of your own, but the following are a few we wanted to share with you; Michelle being there at our old townhouse when we brought Duell home as a newborn from the hospital in May of 1990. Taking Michelle to Braves games when her dad was working in Shreavport, LA. Charles trying to give one of the bridesmaids away to Steven during the wedding rehersal the night before the wedding. Both of you including Duell (ring bearer) and Airelle (flower girl) in your wedding. Steven and I going to the Alabama vs. Oklahoma football game in Tuscaloosa. Michelle ALWAYS calling to check on C.M. and Frances. Checking on them constantly says more about who you are and your heart than any of the other memories. Saying that you've always been like family just isn't enough. I don't think the words exist to show how much love there is for you two; if they did, I don't think you could find enough ink to write them, or paper to write them on. May God comfort you and touch you in a way that only he can.
Love,
Leslie, Lourie, Duell, & Airelle Willard

My heart is heavy for you and the babies. I don’t think I have ever met a more beautiful, funny, Christian couple as I did with you and Steven. We may never know why he was given such a short life, but we do know that his kindness and faith touched many. Please hold tight to God’s hand and seek comfort in his love.

Michelle,
We are still reeling from the latest news. I really got to know Steven when he taught the boys in Sunday school. Oh, how they love him!! He does so much for the church and it speaks volumes about him. Stephen's friendly with everybody, and on a day that you're feeling blue, it'd mean the world to you. We love you guys and haven't stopped praying and won't.

Michelle,
Your husband was my Recruiting Manager for a a little over a year at Allstates Technical Services. Steven was a very dedicated positive person that really touched and influenced my outlook on my career and where I was going. I knew I could call him anytime for advice or to just vent. He was always upbeat and had a great sense of humor! I made him laugh when he came to Houston one time, b/c I had printed out a color copy of the Ricky Bobby Fast Club membership certificate. It was signed and put up on my cube wall. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bless and help you all through this difficult time.

I worked for Steven in the Houston office at AllStates Technical.... he gave me a chance to move ahead and try new things and his influence changed the course of my career. Every single day I use tools Steven gave me.
Like Kate, I too remember the Ricky Bobby certificates, and Steven's goofy sense of humor!
I'm praying for the Judd family and am confident that God will work all things together for good, even in this.
